Flipping Physics Videos about Teaching
Over the years I have created various videos about teaching and I figured it would be logical to have all of those organized and available in one place. So, here they are!
First Day of School, What do I do?
Just a small thing I do with my students on the first day of class and why I do it.
A Simple Way to Make Assignments Better
Here I share a simple teaching habit that helped me continually improve my physics assignments over nearly 25 years in the classroom. By updating labs and worksheets immediately after grading them, I kept track of student misconceptions, clarified confusing instructions, and made small changes that led to better learning and less frustration for students. Using a real introductory physics lab as an example, I show how comments, notes, and revisions helped students better understand concepts like density, uncertainty, and showing their work. This video is designed for physics students and teachers who want clearer labs, stronger problem solving, and more effective physics instruction.
If you would like a copy of the lab I refer to in the above vide, my solutions to the lab, and my teacher notes, you can find all of those in my Sample AP® Physics 1 Teacher Resources Course.

Six Teacher Approaches to Physics Labs
Six teachers share how they approach labs in their physics classes. Thank you very much to Laura Zeller, Shaun Thomas, Will Segal, Janel Morris, and Nick Sourvelis for collaborating with me on this project!
Showing the Differences between a Traditional and a Flipped Classroom
This video compares a traditional to a flipped class. Two classes were filmed 1 year apart and are shown simultaneously to illustrate the differences.
How to Learn from a Flipping Educational Video
Before you assign flipped videos from which you expect your students to learn, you need to teach them How to Learn from a Flipping Educational Video. You can assign this video to your students to help them learn how!

Asynchronous Flipped Gameful Mastery Learning
A detailed look at how my classes were structured during my last ~7 years of teaching, Asynchronous Flipped Gameful Mastery Learning. It's an awesome way to organize a classroom, in my humble opinion. 😀
