Next Video
This video is my attempt to help my wife understand the Pillars of Creation. In doing so I show where they are in the Eagle Nebula, define a lightyear, determine how far it is from the Earth to the Sun, demonstrate the speed of sound, and discuss how we see the past.

Content Times:
0:00 “The Disordered Cosmos” by Chanda Prescod-Weinstein
1:33 Where are they?
2:35 How far away are they?
3:01 How far is a lightyear?
6:47 How big are they?
7:32 What are they?
8:53 How can we see something that is not there?
