In this video, we explore the concept of terminal voltage in batteries. We explain how terminal voltage is different from electromotive force (emf) and how real batteries have internal resistance, causing the measured terminal voltage to be less than the emf. We also discuss how to calculate the terminal voltage of a battery. Watch to understand why a real battery can never have the same voltage as its equivalent ideal battery in an electric circuit.
