Thin Ring Electric Field (10:32)
In this video, we will determine the electric field at point P, which is located on the axis of a uniformly charged ring of charge Q and radius a, a distance x from the center of the ring. We will use Coulomb's law and an integral to solve for the electric field, taking into consideration the different directions of the electric field caused by each infinitesimally small charge dq on the ring. We will also discuss the electric field at point P if it is not located along the axis of the ring.
