(I just added this to my "about" page.)  I have been remiss in not mentioning my wife on this “about” page.  You see, I really and truly couldn’t be doing this without her.  She supports me completely.  She supported me when I quit my “real” teaching job to start a company with an amazing vision and no profits.  Even though she has never taken a physics class in her life, she watches every minute of every video and gives constructive criticism.  She provides a wonderful sounding board and knows how to tell me one of my ideas is terrible without putting me down.  We met when I was 16 and we are still in love today.  Kate, thank you so much for all your help.

"Even better than Khan Academy"

This FaceBook Message made me really happy and I had to share. Thanks, John Clark, for your kind words and for letting me post this:

"Mr P, thank you SO MUCH for everything you've done with Flipping Physics. You make learning physics even more enjoyable and you're an awesome instructor!  I'm 42 years old and had a heart attack on 10/11/12. The paramedics defibbed me 3 times to revive me. I've always had a fascination with the sciences (physics in particular) so I made up my mind to go back to school. I'm in Phy 201 this semester (Chm 111, Precalc II and an Ethics class-- I also work full-time) and I've gotten more out of your videos and way of teaching than I have from my book (and quite honestly, it's the best resource for me I've found on the web...even better than Khan Academy). We're utilizing a flipped class in Physics so I can't begin to tell you how helpful you've been. THANK YOU - John Clark"

Here they are, as promised, my solutions to the Mechanics Free Response Questions of the AP Physics 1998 Released Exam.  I  worked quite a bit this week and weekend in order to get these out by today.  Why? Because my former Algebra Based Physics students who are currently taking AP Physics C have their Mechanics Final Exam this week.  I am hoping the 2 hours of solutions I have recently released will be a helpful review for them. I know they don’t have school this Monday. I also know that they are probably bored and looking for some physics to do today, so I provided this review. ;)  Please enjoy your final exam and good luck!

I was going to wait until tomorrow or the next day to release this video because, hopefully, I will be done with and post my solutions to the 3 Free Response Questions for the 1998 AP Physics C Released Mechanics Exam.  However, Zhang Shuhan, posted a thank you comment on my Mechanics Review Video and mentioned that his exam is tomorrow.  So, Zhang Shuhan, I hope these 8 General Suggestions are helpful and Enjoy Your Exam!

I applied to and received permission from the College Board to make video solutions to the 1998 AP Physics C Released Exam.  Today I am posting the solutions to the Multiple Choice portion of the Mechanics test.  63 minutes of solutions to 35 problems.  Yep, 63 minutes; that’s a lot of physics :)  In the next few weeks I will be creating and posting the rest of the solutions, so you can look forward to that!

Singapore!

This holiday vacation I have pretty much taken a break from working on Flipping Physics.  Sure I have written a couple of Lecture Notes for videos I plan to do soon, submitted an Annual Report for Flipping Physics, LLC and published the FP Trailer, however, really, I haven't done much.  It's pretty clear that the rest of the United States has taken a large break from learning about physics as well.  However, something funny happened starting in 2014.

Singapore discovered Flipping Physics.  So far In 2014 approximately 61% of the time spent on my website has been by people in Singapore.  In fact, only 27% of the time spent on the website in 2014 has been by people in the US.

Contrast that with December of 2013 where 78% of the time was by people in the US and only 0.4% was by people in Singapore.

Slowly, but surely, Flipping Physics is TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!

Yep, I make physics videos in the hope that you can learn physics.  If you are a physics teacher, I am very hopeful that you will want to use them to help flip your physics class.
