Yesterday I received a FaceBook message from a student of mine whom I have never met. This message really exemplifies why I started Flipping Physics. It really means a lot to me and he has given me permission to share it with you. This is why I do what I do ...

"Hello! My name is Bogdan, I am 24 years old and I am from Romania. Here is my life story, the short version:

I wasted 5 years getting a Master's Degree in English before I realized Physics is the dream for me.
So here I am, with no math or physics training whatsoever (not even during high school), joining the Faculty of Physics. If I was to have a chance there, intensive individual study was a must. So... I started studying: books, internet, teachers, colleagues, you name it. And then I found your videos.

Sir (From what I've seen I think you wouldn't have liked me to call you sir, but my respect for you is too great for anything less than that), from the bottom of my heart,

You are explaining physics to me better than any of my teachers at the University, and a thousand times better than more than half of them.

Please, please, do not stop! You are absolutely great and you have given me a chance to fulfill my dream to become an astrophysicist.
